The Empire of the Empty Throne has just sent two hundred of it's veteran House Guards to us in an attempt to ease the strain on local forces throughout the Provinces.
Their ships docked at Clearwater County yesterday morning and the contingent is now splitting into two groups to bolster both Great-Henges and Deepfells interior civilian security.
Please make them welcome and if anyone has any queries about them of any form, ensure you direct them to the local garrison commander.

The Pale Duke has announced another edict as of today:
"Forthwith, the Darklands Province of Stygia is under martial law and anyone found without appropriate papers, identification or lack of their Countries colours openly displayed will either be detained for deportation or considered a spy and dealt with accordingly.
We wish it to be clear we are dealing with our civil unrest and thank the Protectorate for ensuring the borders remain clear of additional insurgents or refugee's.
In the meantime additional forces from Draconia, Eerie and the Bone Lands are being moved into the Province. This will include regular peace-keeping troops, advisorial units from the Hounds of War, Dark Paladins from the Blood Knights intent on ensuring civilians are treated fairly and groups of Priests from the Unlit Way to see to the spiritual needs of the populace."

To all practitioners of Magic within the Protectorate:
As of midnight two days ago, all Sorcerers capable of casting the highest level of Arcane Magic have reported they cannot access the mana flow that surrounds our world when they try to do so.
We have already confirmed with our colleagues in Enchantica, Oakwoods, the Iron League and the Darklands that they are suffering from the same problem. It only seem to affect the highest level of Arcane magic at this time.
Any reliable news on the source of the phenomenon is urgently sought, as is the whereabouts of Puddle Greenbark, ex-head of the Water College of the Unseen University from Deepfell.

We are now been able to confirm that the Guardians have moved forces into the Eastern and North-Eastern sections of the area known as the 'Neutral Zone' (the exclusion/neutral buffer area surrounding the Haunted Hills on all sides).
These forces contain several hundred Protected group members, a few dozen Guardian Warriors and a half-dozen Guardian Lords.
Hostilities have already commenced between these forces and several groups of the multiple factions currently embroiled in perdiodic combat within the Haunted Lands and Northern Stygia.
The Guardians indicate they are putting down a "threat to our territory" and only wish to ensure their domain remains clear of these many warring factions in the Darklands.
In associated news, the Pale Duke has declared he is beginning to mass forces of his own to ensure the borders to the rest of "his lands" remain clear of this fighting.
Already we have reports of troops loyal to him on the North-Eastern border of the Haunted Lands and Eastern border of Stygia.
